We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Business Development Manager to join our team. Responsibilities
Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential business opportunities, market trends, and customer needs.

Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners, and industry stakeholders.
Identify and pursue new business leads through networking, cold calling, and other business development techniques.
Present company services and solutions to prospective clients, demonstrating the value proposition and addressing their specific requirements.
Negotiate and close business deals, ensuring favorable terms and conditions for both the company and the client.
Collaborate with the operations team to ensure seamless project execution and client satisfaction.
Stay updated on industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor activities to identify strategic business opportunities.
Prepare and deliver sales presentations, proposals, and contracts to potential clients.
Track and report on sales performance, market trends, and competitor activities to management.
Provide timely and accurate sales forecasts and contribute to the development of sales budgets and targets.
Participate in industry events, trade shows, and conferences to enhance the company's visibility and expand the network of contacts.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. MBA is a plus.
Proven track record in business development or sales, preferably in the logistics or transportation industry.
Strong knowledge of logistics services, supply chain management, and freight forwarding.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish long-term relationships with clients.
Strong negotiation, persuasion, and closing skills.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Results-driven mindset with a strong focus on achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.
Proficiency in using CRM software and other sales tools.
Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
A valid driver's license and willingness to travel as required.
Fluency in English, both written and spoken. Knowledge of other languages is a plus.

As a Port Operations Clerk, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of port activities, including documentation, cargo handling, and coordination with various stakeholders. Your primary responsibility will be to facilitate the timely and accurate processing of cargo at the port
Responsibilities
Prepare and process cargo documentation, including bills of lading, customs documents, and other required paperwork.
Coordinate with shipping agents, customs officials, and port authorities to ensure compliance with all necessary regulations and procedures.
Monitor the loading and unloading of cargo, ensuring that it is handled safely and efficiently.
Maintain accurate records of cargo movements, including quantities, weights, and storage locations.
Conduct regular inventory checks to verify the accuracy of cargo records and resolve any discrepancies.
Coordinate with trucking companies and other transportation providers to arrange the timely pick-up and delivery of cargo.
Ensure proper documentation and filing of all relevant port operations records.
Assist in coordinating port logistics, such as berth allocation, vessel schedules, and crane operations.
Provide excellent customer service to clients, addressing their inquiries and resolving any issues related to port operations.
Stay updated on industry regulations, port procedures, and best practices to ensure compliance and operational efficiency.
Collaborate with the operations team to identify areas for process improvement and implement effective solutions.
Adhere to safety protocols and promote a culture of safety within the port operations.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
Proven experience in port operations, preferably in a clerical or administrative role.
Knowledge of port procedures, cargo handling, and documentation requirements.
Familiarity with shipping terminology and relevant industry regulations.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and documentation.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Proficient in using computer applications, including MS Office and port-specific software.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Fluency in English and Kiswahili, both written and spoken.
